Sourcing and procurement
Suppliers vetted, orders placed and production followed through to shipment.
Sourcing and procurement is the work of finding suppliers and agreeing prices and terms with them, then placing and following the purchase orders that bring your product in. TheBrandSpur does this for e-commerce brands that buy from more than one supplier. A sourcing lead makes the supplier decisions, and our system handles the volume work, such as reorder points and supplier risk flags.
Supplier problems tend to show up late. We watch each supplier for lead-time drift, price changes and disruption risk, and we keep a record of how it performs. That record is what we use when it is time to renegotiate or to find a second source. We take no commission, rebate or fee from suppliers.
A sourcing lead makes the supplier calls

How it works
Four steps
- Step 1
We build a long-list of suppliers and qualify them.
- Step 2
Quotes are run and compared.
- Step 3
Price, terms and lead time are agreed.
- Step 4
Purchase orders are raised and chased through to shipment.
Suppliers
Who we buy from
Before cash is committed
- Suppliers are identified and vetted on reliability, quality, capacity and terms.
- Single-source dependencies are diversified before they turn into a stockout.
- For a new product, we find and qualify the factory before the spec is locked.
- Lead-time drift, disruption risk and price volatility are flagged early for each supplier.
- Vendor performance is tracked, and that record backs up every renegotiation.
Purchasing
What we buy, and how
From PO to receipt
- Reorder points and safety stock are calculated for each SKU from real lead times.
- Purchase orders are managed from draft to issue to receipt, with payment and carton tracking built in.
- QC standards and defect criteria are set before the first production run, with internal, external and ready-to-ship inspection stages.
- QC photos are reviewed with AI across a full batch, and a human inspector makes the final call on anything flagged or based on judgment.
Who decides
What the system does and what a person decides
Volume and judgment
The system
- Flags supplier risk before it becomes a stockout.
- Calculates reorder points for each SKU.
- Scans QC photos across a full batch in a day.
A person
- Decides whether to renegotiate, diversify or accept a risk for now.
- Signs off anything a photo alone can't judge.
- Sits across from your supplier and negotiates.
Existing suppliers
If you already have suppliers
Audit before any change
Where you already have suppliers, we audit them on price, lead time and defect rate before recommending a change. If terms need renegotiating, we bring the benchmark and sit in the call.
- Benchmark on price and lead time.
- Defect and claim history pulled.
- Renegotiation run with you.
A supplier audit and renegotiation can also run on its own, as a project.

Sourcing is finding and qualifying the suppliers or factories that make your product. Procurement is buying from them. That means getting quotes, agreeing terms and raising purchase orders, then following production through to shipment.
Software spots the pattern and does the volume work. A sourcing lead decides whether to renegotiate, diversify or accept a risk for now, signs off anything a photo alone can't judge, and negotiates with your supplier directly.

Yes. We audit existing suppliers on price, lead time and defect rate before recommending a change, and the audit and renegotiation can also run as a standalone project. If terms need renegotiating, we bring the benchmark and sit in the call.

Yes. Purchase orders are raised and managed from draft to receipt, with payment and carton tracking, and we follow production through to shipment. Each account has a named person who owns the purchase order. Reorder points and safety stock are calculated per SKU from real lead times, so orders go out in time.
Yes. For a new product we find and qualify the right factory before the spec is locked.
Sourcing and procurement is sold as a retainer. A supplier audit and renegotiation can also be bought on its own, as a project. We give you a written quote after a call, and the inventory audit is the one fixed price we publish: $1,500.
Every supplier is vetted before your cash is on the line. QC standards and defect criteria are set before the first production run, and inspections run at the internal, external and ready-to-ship stages. Payment and cartons are tracked on each purchase order, and a human inspector makes the final call on anything flagged.
No. TheBrandSpur takes no money from suppliers: no commission, no rebate and no fee. Suppliers are judged on reliability, quality, capacity and terms.
Start with the audit
The audit checks whether your reorder points match what your suppliers actually deliver, and which SKUs will run out inside the supplier lead time. If suppliers turn out to be the cause, sourcing is the next step. It costs $1,500 and takes up to three business days.
