Global logistics
Freight booked, customs coordinated and every shipment tracked from factory to warehouse door.
Global logistics is the work of getting an order from the factory to your warehouse door. That means choosing the freight mode, booking the freight, coordinating the forwarder and the customs broker, and tracking the shipment until it is received. TheBrandSpur does this for e-commerce brands that bring in goods from overseas suppliers. Our system compares freight costs across every carrier, and a person decides which mode to ship on and which forwarder to trust with a deadline.
A freight quote is only part of what a shipment costs. Duty, storage and returns belong in the number too, so we close the landed cost on every shipment and check it against the invoice when the goods arrive. TheBrandSpur is not a customs broker of record. Your forwarders, brokers and carriers are independent companies, and we coordinate them. We take no commission or other fee from forwarders.

How it works
Four steps
- Step 1
The freight mode is chosen: ocean, air or ground, balanced against cash position and stockout risk.
- Step 2
Forwarders and brokers are coordinated on timelines and documentation.
- Step 3
The shipment is tracked from sailing to the delivery appointment, in one thread per shipment.
- Step 4
Landed cost is closed against the invoice when the goods arrive.
Freight
What we handle
Factory to warehouse door
- Freight mode is balanced against cash position and stockout risk, not picked on price alone.
- Forwarder and broker coordination keeps timelines and documentation on track.
- Customs and compliance paperwork is coordinated so shipments don't sit at port.
- Inbound tracking runs from sailing to the delivery appointment.
- Lane and carrier cost analysis flags consolidation opportunities automatically.
Who decides
What the system does and what a person decides
Volume and judgment
The system
- Compares freight costs across every carrier.
- Flags consolidation opportunities automatically.
A person
- Decides which mode to ship on.
- Decides which forwarder to trust with a deadline.
- Picks up the phone when a container is late.
Landed cost
Landed cost
Per unit, per SKU
Landed cost is what a unit really costs once it is in your warehouse. Freight, duty and storage are loaded into the number for each unit, returns and shrink are added, and margin is shown by SKU and channel. For many brands it is the first margin figure that holds up once a real shipment arrives.
- Freight, duty and storage per unit.
- Returns and shrink loaded in.
- Margin by SKU and channel.
Landed cost modeling can also run on its own, as a project. The figures are management information, not customs, tax or accounting advice.

Global logistics is sold as a retainer, and landed cost modeling can be bought on its own, as a project. We give you a written quote after a call, and the inventory audit is the one fixed price we publish: $1,500.

Start with the audit
The audit checks whether your unit cost includes freight, duty and storage, or only what the supplier invoiced. If landed cost turns out to be the problem, global logistics is the next step. It costs $1,500 and takes up to three business days.
